8.5x11 / A4 Shopify Packing Slip Code Templates
Shopify has announced an update to the packing slip on 8th August 2023, which may affect the layout of the documents. I have therefore suspended the sale of the template, whilst I perform tests and any make any required updates.

Each template is available as a download, for you to set up yourself using the step-by-step instructions provided, or if you prefer I can set up the code for you.

If you choose to install the code yourself, you will get the template code, which includes the URL to access the relevant set up instructions.
Once purchased you'll be able to download the template code immediately, with most of the designs being set up in under 30 minutes. Purchasing the DIY option allows you to download the code once only, so please make sure you save the file in a suitable location on your computer for access in the future.

I've purchased the DIY option. How do I get started
Upon purchasing a template design, you'll be presented with a link to download the template code file for that design.
First you will need to download the code file.
Once downloaded, open the file and head to the instruction file using the URL link provided.
The instructions will now guide you through the set up process.
Do I need to know how to code
No, I've gone ahead and implemented the code for you as part of the template.
Having said that however, there are aspects that I cannot know when writing the code, such as your brand colours, logo, etc., so these will need to be added by yourself.
But don't worry, I will provide step by step instructions, clearly showing you what and where settings need to be altered.
You will probably find that some of the settings will not need changing and have been included just in case you need to make a small alteration for your business.
My advice is to save and preview the template as you work through the set up process. By doning so, if you were to make a mistake, you'll be able to identify exactly where the problem has occured..
What do I need to do to make sure my logo fits the template correctly
When selecting a logo to use you should make sure that the logo image is cropped, removing as much white space as possible from the image.
I do not want to use all rows of text available. What should I do
If you are downloading the code (DIY option), you will find this covered in the instruction document.
If I am installing the code for you, when completing the product form, simply leave the fields blank (the placeholder examples will be visible, but will not be passed through when adding the service to the basket).
How many times can I download the template
Each template design purchased is available to be downloaded once, so you'll need to save a copy of the code file to your computer if you wish to access it again in the future.
How long does it take to add the template
Most of the code templates can be added to your site in under 30 minutes.
However, the amount of time it takes will vary depending on tyour own experience.
If I change my theme will I need to update the packing slip again
No. Packing Slips are part of the Store Settings in Shopify, meaning that they are set once and used by any of the themes on Shopify.
What are Product Item Properties
Product item properties are values captured by additional product form fields, which are not captured via the standard Shopify product variant options. An example of an additional form field would be a text field to capture a personalisation.
A great example of product form fields which result in item properties can be seen in this product listing.
Simply select the option 'I would like you to install the code for me' to reveal form fields that are part of this template and are not product variant options.
The values entered into these form fields would be passed through to the packing slip as item properties.

I would like to make additional changes that are not covered by the template
The templates have been designed to offer customisation to help fit in with your brand.

If Artisan IT install the code, what areas of my site will you need to access as a collaborator
In order to update the packing slip template, I will need access to your Shopify Settings and Orders.
Access to these areas is required, so that I can set up the code and test printing a packing slip once the work has been completed.
Following the purchase of the template, I will send you a collaborator request from my Shopify developer account, requesting access to your sites 'Settings' and 'Orders'. You will then need to approve this request before any access is granted to myself.
How do I remove your collaborator access once the work is completed
Once I have completed the work on your store, I will advise you how to remove the access that you have granted me.
You can always check the access I have by heading to 'Settings > Users and Permissions'. At the bottom of the page, you will see a list of collaborators that have access to your account.
