Technology, crafted for your business.

Artisan I.T. Services keeps your systems running, your data protected, and your team supported — so you can focus on the work that matters. We also build the software itself, and run it where it suits you: in the cloud, on your own servers, or as a service we host and maintain.

What we do

Software built for how you work, and the everyday IT that keeps it all running.

Software Development

Web systems written in Laravel: internal tools, portals, dashboards and admin panels, built around your process instead of the other way round.

Desktop Applications

For work a browser tab cannot do. Cash drawers, barcode scanners, equipment on a floor, or a site where the connection drops. Windows, macOS and Linux.

Cloud Computing

Servers, databases, storage and backups, running in the cloud or on hardware in your own office. We move you across from whatever you are on now, then keep an eye on it.

What we build

The kinds of systems we take on

Each one is written from scratch for the business that asked for it, so nothing arrives with modules you have to work around. Buy it outright and own it, or let us host and run it for you as a service, whichever suits your budget.

Business systems

Inventory, purchasing, sales, invoicing and reporting in one place, set up the way your branches and staff actually operate.

Point of sale

Counter software for retail and restaurants, built to keep selling when the connection drops and sync once it returns.

HR and payroll

Employee records, attendance from biometric or QR check-in, leave requests, payroll runs and payslips.

Helpdesk and ticketing

Support tickets from email or a portal, assigned to the right person, with response times you can see.

Backup and recovery

Off-site backups with encryption and retention rules, plus a restore we test with you.

Job and delivery tracking

Dispatch, trip logs, vehicle or job status, and check-in from a phone out in the field.

Something not on this list

Most enquiries are a mix of the above plus something specific to the business. Describe it and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it.

About us

We treat IT the way a craftsman treats their trade: with care, precision, and pride in the finished work.

One team stays with your system from the first conversation through to support after it goes live. That means small, careful steps, plain language instead of jargon, and someone who answers when you call.

  • Solutions sized to your business, not oversold
  • Clear explanations and honest recommendations
  • One team, accountable from planning to support

FAQ

Questions we get asked

It starts with a conversation, either a call or a visit, to see how the work is done now and where the time goes. There is no charge for that. From there we write down what will be built, what it costs and how long it takes, then work in short stages so you see something running early rather than waiting for a big reveal at the end.

It depends on what the system has to do, so we do not publish a price list we would only have to walk back. After the first conversation you get a written scope with a fixed price and a timeline. A small internal tool is a few weeks of work; a system that runs a whole department takes a few months.

On a custom build, you do. The repository and the hosting accounts are in your name and everything transfers on final payment, so if you later bring in someone else they get the code and the documentation without going through us. If you take the software-as-a-service option instead, we keep hosting and maintaining it for a monthly fee, the data is still yours, and we will export all of it whenever you ask.

Often, yes. We start by reading the code and looking at the server, then give you a written opinion on what is worth keeping. Sometimes the honest answer is that repairing it costs more than rebuilding the part that matters, and we will tell you that before you spend anything.

That is your call, and we will lay out the trade-offs before you decide. Most systems are best in the cloud, which keeps hardware out of your office and grows as you do. Some are better on a server on your own premises, either for control or because equipment on site depends on it. And if you would rather not manage either, we can host and run the software for you as a service.

Defects in what we built are fixed at no cost for an agreed period after launch. After that, most clients keep a small monthly arrangement covering monitoring, updates, backups and a set amount of time for changes.
