Founded in 2021, Artisan IT aims to support makers, designers and small businesses, by providing friendly IT support to those whose strengths lie in other areas besides computing and technology.
A little about me
Having worked on large IT projects for an international automotive manufacturer, working to improve their efficiency and productivity, I gained many skills that could be easily applied to a range of businesses. It was whilst seeing some of the hurdles my partner had to overcome setting up her business, I felt that I could use these skills to help other artisan makers that maybe lacked the knowledge or time to get the most out of their working systems.
It was with this in mind that I joined the Open University to develop my knowledge and skills further, gaining a First Class Honours degree in Computing and IT. This was the stepping stone to leave the corporate world and help those with a passion for handcrafted products to take their business to the next level.
From a simple spreadsheet to a fully launched website, I understand that building a business can be a daunting task. For those whose strengths lie in creating beautifully handmade items, they may not necessarily be as confident with IT systems and that is where I am here to lend a hand.
